The museum is located on a monumental industrial site, right behind shopping street the Midstraat. Parking is free in parking lot Sinnebuorren next to the museum, also for buses.

Museum Joure is easily accessible for people with a wheelchair, walker or baby carriage. There are disabled toilets (and baby changing rooms) in two places. A wheelchair can be borrowed free of charge (limited availability).

Free cup of coffee or tea from our master blender

Your entrance ticket entitles you to a delicious cup of coffee or tea in our attractive museum garden or Museum Café De Túnkeamer. The beans for your coffee come straight from Douwe Egberts. But when they arrive at the museum they are still raw. Our master blender Sipke and his colleagues then roast and blend them using traditional methods in our coffee roastery. And you can taste that! Prefer a nice cup of Pickwick tea or a glass of lemonade? Of course, that's possible too.

"Very nice, also for children!"

Museum Joure, that's where you make it

Come to the cradle of Dutch coffee and tea and experience the crafts that belong on this monumental industrial estate, right in the center of Joure. Check out the current exhibition, the possibilities for groups, our authentic store the Witte Os and the atmospheric museum cafe.

Every day there is all kinds of things to do and see at the museum. In addition to the permanent collection, there is almost always an exhibition. There are also regular special activities. During school vacations there is (extra) much to do in the museum for children: every vacation there is The Making Factory, with in the autumn vacation also the Cool Kids Night and in the spring vacation Help pake and beppe through the vacation (children free). Check the agenda for all activities.
