Booking is mandatory and can be done here.
Paid your ticket online? Then check in at Museumstraat 1 (side Geelgietersstraat).
Booked your ticket, but still need to pay? Then check in at Museumstraat 2 (side Midstraat).
Do you have questions after booking your ticket? Then call or email us at 0513-412283 (Tue-Fri, between 10am and 5pm) or info@museumjoure.nl.
Do not come if you are sick
If you are suffering from flu or cold symptoms on the chosen date and time that may indicate Corona (see the RIVM guidelines), you can request a discount voucher that will allow you to visit the museum at a later time. Apply for a discount voucher by contacting Museum Joure, preferably by sending an email to info@museumjoure.nl. Alternatively, you can call 0513-412283 (from Tue to Fri between 10 am and 5 pm).
Stick to the time slot
A limited number of people are allowed in each quarter. This is how visitor numbers are spread throughout the day. Your ticket/reservation states the time slot. Please keep to the time slot and arrive no more than 5 minutes earlier or later. To avoid congestion, we ask that you stay in the museum for a maximum of 2 hours.
No checkroom
Please note that there is no checkroom or coat rack available. Please leave coats and luggage in the car whenever possible.
Cafe closed
Our museum cafe is currently closed.
The White Ox
Our nostalgic museum store The White Ox is open under reserve. This is because the store runs entirely on volunteers and as a museum we cannot 100% guarantee that the store will be adequately staffed.
Groups
Currently we do not offer group arrangements, tours or demonstrations.
Transportation
Come with your own transportation. Avoid public transportation whenever possible, come with your own transportation as much as possible, and especially go to museums in (the vicinity) of where you live or reside.
Keep 1.5 meters distance
As Museum Joure, we take various measures to ensure that visitors can keep 1.5 meters distance from each other. Do you yourself think about keeping this distance?
Together with people from the same household? Visiting the museum together is fun, of course. If you come with a group of people belonging to the same household, you don't have to keep 1.5 meters distance from each other. If you come together with people who do not belong to the same household, do keep 1.5 meters distance!
Wear a mouth mask
As of October 1, 2020, we require all visitors to wear a mouth mask in the museum, the museum store De Witte Os and the museum café. We will follow the guidelines on mouthguard use as found at www.rijksoverheid.nl.
Follow the instructions of our staff at
Our staff will be happy to help you and keep an eye on whether visitors follow the guidelines properly. Museum Joure may refuse visitors at the door, if there appears to be certain (cold) symptoms. If visitors do not follow the instructions of our staff and do not comply with the visiting conditions and hygiene measures, we may ask visitors to leave the museum.
