the National Museum Week at Museum Joure:
a week full of special stories

From 9 to 14 April, the National Museum Week will take place with the theme 'Discovering our real gold together'. In Museum Joure, this is the reason to put the spotlight on the showpieces from our collection. Every day at 13.30 and 15.00 there is a special guided tour of the tour leader's favourite objects. The guided tour is free of charge (of course you do pay the entrance fee for the museum), you do not have to register in advance.

Programme Museum Joure
During the National Museum Week, Museum Joure focuses on the favourite objects of the tour guides. There are two tours every day, at 1.30 pm and 3 pm. Our tour guides then enthusiastically tell about their favourite object and the stories behind it. Their knowledge and smooth ways of storytelling are invaluable, that's how the object really comes to life. Of course, the tour guide will also take you through the other parts of the museum and tell you how everyday things such as tea bags, Frisian tail clocks and printed matter used to be made.
