Getting started in De Maakfabriek with making a package
You don't have to get bored during the spring holidays, because Museum Joure organises the following events from Tuesday 18 February to Friday 21 February. The Make Factory, especially for children from approx. 6 to 14 years old. They have free entrance! This as part of 'Help pake and spend the holidays'. This year's theme is Water. Make your own packaging for our newly invented water drink!

First you take a look at the print shop in the museum to spot the most beautiful works of art and then you go to work as a real designer yourself. Of course there is all kinds of material available for you to experiment with. Have fun!
The printing house shows the old book printing technique from the beginning of the twentieth century. Printing press, platen press, control machine, cutting machines and other fascinating machines. You can find it all in the print shop. All these machines used to be used in the printing profession. Could you? Explore how newspapers, birth announcement cards, magazines, etc. used to be printed. Do you know how they used to print? Then you go to work yourself and make your own unique printed matter!

Starting moments: 10.15, 11.30, 13.00 and 14.30 hours
The activity lasts 1.5 to 2 hours
At 4.30 p.m. the manufacturing plant closes
Per group there is room for approx. 15 children.

Kinderen hebben gratis entree ‘op vertoon’ van een betalende volwassene. Voor meedoen aan de Maakfabriek geldt een materiaaltoeslag van € 1,50. Entreeprijs voor volwassenen is € 7,50. Bezoek is inclusief kopje koffie/thee of glas limonade. Uiteraard zijn de museumkaart en andere kortingskaarten gewoon geldig deze dagen.
