In January and February, Museum Joure is organizing exclusive themed tours every Thursday at 2 p.m.. One week about 'The world of Douwe Egberts' and the other about 'The world of the old Jouster manufacturing industry'. Tickets can be ordered at the bottom of this page.
On Thursday 5 and 19 January and 2 and 16 February
The tour guides, many of whom have worked at D.E., tell great stories about this globally operating (Jouster) company and take visitors through the premises of Museum Joure. There you will see, among other things, D.E.'s first store, the Witte Os. You will also take a look at the beautiful salons and the "beautiful room" of the former owners of Douwe Egberts, spaces that are normally closed to the public.
On Thursday 12 and 26 January and 9 and 23 February
There is much to see and tell about the old Jouster manufacturing industry at Museum Joure. Participants enjoy iconic stories about the Jouster clockmakers while viewing the finest clocks in the collection, about Keverling's copper casters and the beautiful metalware factory, about the silver and goldsmiths and the Jouster printers. And, of course, about the most famous Jouster company: Douwe Egberts.
