Help pake and save the holiday!

On a journey from TOEN to the FUTURE

Of course, Museum Joure will participate in the project Help pake again during the spring holidays and plan the holiday. During this holiday many Frisian museums organize special activities for children. On presentation of a pake, beppe or other adult, children can enter for free. In Museum Joure the provincial theme 'On a journey' is very special. In the museum you go on a journey from TOEN to the FUTURE!

In Museum Joure we like to think with you about what our life will be like in the future and show you how that future started earlier. At the desk all children will get a special Jourobot Journal this week, after that you will start working with pake and beppe (or another adult). The Journal leads you through all kinds of places in the museum where you can taste, think, draw, design, etc. You can taste old-fashioned sweets and desserts in the museum, drink cups of tea with Captain Coffee Cup and come up with tastes for the tea machine of the future. You look at old-fashioned clocks and make your own design clock case (or time machine...)! In the meantime you use your Journal to make nice sketches and do searches.

Your self-made futuristic machines, clocks become works of art (if you like) during the weekend 'Van Toen naar Toe Toecoming' on 4 & 5 March exhibited in our exhibition space it Binnenplak. 

From Tuesday 21 February until Friday 24 February you are welcome between 12.00 and 16.00 hours. Pakes, beppes and other companions pay the normal entrance fee of € 6,50 (including a cup of coffee or tea). On 'presentation' of one of the adults, the child can enter for free.
