This summer, crafts will take center stage every Thursday!

During the months of July and August, on Thursdays at Museum Joure, the entrepreneur and craftsman take center stage. What to expect? Every Thursday between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. at least three people will be waiting for you in the museum. They will tell stories about the famous Jouster entrepreneur Douwe Egberts, take you on a mini-tour (for example along the Jouster clocks) or demonstrate their old trade.
Museum Joure, that's where you make it!
Museum Joure is een verrassend maakmuseum in het centrum van Joure. Het bestaat uit tien monumentale panden, van het eerste Douwe Egberts-winkeltje, tot pakhuizen en de Metaalfabriek van Keverling. In het museum laten we je zien hoe verschillende producten vroeger (en nu) werden gemaakt. Van koffie en thee, tot Friesche klokken, drukwerk en metaal!In juli en augustus zijn er op donderdagen vertellers en rondleiders en één of meer ambachtslieden, die hun oude vak demonstreren. Van een koffiebrander en theezakjesmaker tot een drukker en koperslager*. Dat maakt het museum extra leuk op deze donderdagen extra leuk!

Summer Making Factory for Children
For children this summer, The Summer Making Factory is back, a program full of fun hands-on activities throughout the museum.
Admission (online booking recommended!)
For these Thursday afternoons and for the Summer Making Factory, you pay no surcharge, just the regular entrance fee (€8.50 for adults, €3.50 for children). That includes a nice cup of coffee, tea or glass of lemonade in the lovely museum garden. Tip: book your discounted ticket online to be sure there's room.
