The knitting cafe of Museum Joure will start again on 1 November! Every Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. to 12 noon enthusiastic knitters are welcome to talk to each other, but especially to knit together. The knitting café takes place in the cosy Coffee and Tea House of Museum Joure (Midstraat 99) and admission is free.
During the knitting café, the knitters can inspire each other with new knits, often from the finest knitting wool. Exchanging patterns, giving each other tips, during the knitting café there is plenty of room for this. A great way to relax.
Museum Joure focuses on the history of (Jouster) crafts, industry and entrepreneurs. Here you will discover everything about the life and work of the clockmakers and silversmiths, the copper foundry of Keverling, the printers and of course the coffee roasters and tea blenders of Douwe Egberts. The knitting café, where the craft of knitting is practised, fits nicely here.
